Walkers

After a long er.."hiatus"...thats the word right.. well anyways.. after a loong time, i m finally back to blogging.. i really have to make it habit to blog 'coz otherwise my head would burst with ideas / frustration / whatever...

Today seems like such a beautiful day.. well.. its right in the middle of summer.. yet the morning is quite cool.. I woke up at 6am.. yeah.. why..?
Even iam wondering.. So whats the reason for feeling good..? The fact that two days from now iam going on a small vacation?

After reading a few pages by malcom gladwell..i've begun to chat with my adaptive unconscious these days..Blink Blink...

Travelling by a car.. always makes me feel good.. and if iam driving..its even better. Ever since i had to return the borrowed bike.. i've had to travel on everything except horses and bullocks.

So the cool wind in my hair.. the soft humming of the radio... some nonsensical song with addictive, melodious music. I could actually imagine myself riding a harley through the country roads somewhere in the US.. (Oh well , i guess hollywood has really cast a spell on me too)

After a long time i was enjoying a morning.. and was looking forward to reaching my little space at the work place.. As i was crossing the road, i was mulling over my options to kill time today.. thank you god for creating Tim Berners Lee, Tomlinson and the others...

As i neared the main gates of the office, i could see a bunch of female employees.. arguing with a few guys who seemed like company bus drivers... hmmm..

Yeah after paying so much for the travel, if the bus doesn't stop at your place in the morning.. it can be very frustrating..

With a brush of sympathy for both parties.. i looked away and towards the gate...

Only to find people...people..people.. so many of them.. crowding at the entrance..

One small gate for "pedestrians" only and so many people all wnating to go through.. well.. we are all educated people so thankfully there was no pushing and shoving..

But this sight drained most of the positive energy in me.. Adjacent to this small gate is big gate..supposedly only for vehicles.. well.. when there are no vehicles, but so many pedestrians, i ask.. why not open up those gates too?

I guess the reason they made a seperate gate for 'walkers' was to ensure their safety, have an easy way to match the photo iD with the faces..

But it really doesn't make sense if the main source of income for a billion dollar comapny..its workforce is made to walk through a small hole in the wall.Reminds me of Schindler's list!!

Slavery isn't dead. The ad for Safari was right.. Its just changed.

Meager salaries, crazy work shifts and the repressal of talent due to the monotonous finger excercises..

I do wonder how many of these 'walkers' are really happy..
how many of them are satisfied with their work-profile.. ?
how many of them are stuck in the rut and do not even realise it?
Or am i underestimating them?

Do they just look bored and dull but are really happy for TGIF or are plotting great things in their minds?

Whatever the case with the 'walkers'.. the bumble-bees weren't really happy.
An agitated swarm of them were hovering above the building entrance..
angry maybe, at loosing their home..

How many noticed this? how many look up and notice the beatuiful clouds.. the stars at night..

I just have a few things to say to the 'walkers' and to duniya meri jaan..

Chill out... Enjoy the little things in life..

My stomach reminds me to feed it... and my adaptive unconscious reminds me that i too am a 'walker'...
